Title: Saloon boot won't open
Post by: Andy663 on 15 July 2013, 20:07:57
When I lock the car using the remote on the key fob all the doors lock, but I can still open the boot, then the hazards come on. The lock on the boot is horizontal and can't be moved using the key. Is the lock mechanism jammed or is there a way to ensure the boot is locked?

The lock should move with the key from Horizontal to Vertical.  It is a lock which tends to never get used (aren't all these days?) so try a bit of WD40 or similar in the lock.

Seized lock mate - try 3 in 1 oil or WD40 as said :y

WD40 did the trick.
