Hi all....
In a nutshell, been away for a month, tried to unlock the 2.5 estate, and only drivers door slowly unlocked. Then an alarm started honking. Can't stop it. Battery is as flat as hell. I have no power sounder fitted. I have disconnected the earth on the battery. It has stopped. If I charge the battery, will the horn stop. If not....how will I stop it.
Thanks
Tony

Should do :y

Charge the battery. If it protests when you re-connect it, you should be able to stop the alarm by unlocking with the fob or, failing that, put the key in and turn the ignition on. When it recognises the immobiliser it should silence the alarm.

Thanks fellas, I'll keep you posted :y

As said, charge it (disconnected, of course), if it moans on reconnection (it shouldn't) just lock and unlock again via fob.

Can the battery be charged connected to car or must leads be disconnected?

I have just disconnected the earth lead...it ain't gone 'bang' (sorry Jamie...no pun intended !!!!)

Hi all...
I have connected the battery....honking like the clappers. After using the fob as suggested in ignition, honking stopped, car relocked, then behaved normally. :y
Another problem solved by OOF :y
( As a footnote...the car has not moved or been started for five weeks, but started first turn, and sounds sweet as a nut )
