today i went to an elderly customer who was complaining about her heating not getting warm.
on arrival she led me to her living room and promptly pointed to her lights, stating that she had put 11w low energy "heater" bulbs in but they were not warm enough so she contacted some company who advised some 25watt bulbs may be better for her????
these "heater bulbs" were still not hot enough and hence my arrival !!
oh lordy, she also wanted me to disconnect her gas fire cos she only used it for the two strip lights at the front- a mild debate ensued with me stating that it was not a gas fire but a two bar electric fire and the lights were the bar heaters !!!
i dont mind helping the old dears out but do object to being told "i dont know what im talking about" when she told me her "special" water taps were leaking because of a faulty dog clutch and not a worn washer, bloody hell what do i know..............................
any one else had a silly customer today??????????????

Yup, had one this afternoon.
Gives her the parcel then handed her the scanner to sign.
"Sign here please." I said
"No I'm not signing that, I've got a piece of paper in this parcel."
"Ok" I said "If you won't sign I'll have to take it back"
Took the parcel off her and sent it back refused.
Do some of these people do it on purpose to wind you up?

im amazed of the amount of old people who still open the door and let you in without wanting to check any id. some of them dont even know why i am there and only ask what i have done after i have completed a service !!

Not today.........but it think one of the classics has to be a foriegn lady, that i couldnt understand where she wanted to go.......So I managed to work out that she would show me the way.......
Started out fine........then she said go right.......so i did, then i promptly pulled over......she said go on......i said i carnt its a bus lane.....she go on again.....i repeated i carnt its a bus lane.......she said when i catch the bus it always goes this way........i said yeah coz its a bus! im not!! ::) ::) ;D

Last night I had a site thats £98'000 a drift...
and the manager couldn't understand the concearn.

Been to loads of calls and knocked on door and heard voice shout "Come in." On entering the house some old dear/old guy sitting in armchair who says door is unlocked as it takes them a long time to get to it! Frightening really.

Done a job last week--been there about an hour and a half - customer , a nice blonde lady of about 35 -shouted up to me " I'm making tea -would you like a cup " I said yes please- milk & one sugar .
A couple of minutes went by and I required something from the van outside. Coming down the stairs, the woman was there with the cup of tea in hand.
I said "won't be a minute" as I passed her and going out of the front door - "just gotta get my WORKMATE out of the van"
"Oh "she said "would HE like a cup of tea as well then !"
Cheered me right up all day -that one! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

pretty sure Taxis while carrying passengers can use bus lanes as freely as buses....?

i assisted 2 of the sainsburys security guards in arresting 3 russians who decided to nick £250`s worth of booze...i followed em on the cctv round the car park as they tried in vain to outrun em with the trolley they did not want to give up their booze.... :o ;D ;D

i`ve got blisters at the mo.... :P :P plus i`ve not got my sia badge yet so i cant call myself a security guard for legal reasons but i can operate the cctv and give out parking tickets to people who park in disabled bays with out the proper badges so i guess i`m just car park attendant at the mo.... :y

yep so are my parents..i`ve given out 4 tickets since friday and they were all going to jjb gym i would not mind but they are always expensive motors i hate arseholes like that the one woman screamed at me telling me she earnt more in a month than idid in a year.... ;D ;D i just smile cause the firm i work for also have a debt collection agency that visit the people who don`t pay and believe me there are a few....ah well 2000 parking spaces and they choose to park in a disabled bay...... :)
