Post by: MV6Man on 21 May 2008, 19:36:54
Just wondered that is there a lot of them in your country?
Here in Finland there are some, maybe like a dozen.. Not sure on this.
Most common is that C30SE, i even know few with C40SE

If you are on about Omega-As, we call them Carltons over here in the UK.

We had GSi 3000, which was C30SE, and obviously the Lotus Carlton (same as Europe's Lotus Omega)...

In addition we had the (wonderful) Senator* 2.5 or 3 litre straight six :y

*a version of the Carlton when you called them all Omega's under the Opel badge.

Those straight sixers are off course builded afterwards.
Usually that engine is taken off from scrapped carlton and then fitted to
2.0 omega...

At least one member has put a 3.6 Lotus Carlton/Omega engine in their Omega.  Kinda pointless puting the 3.0 Carlton engine in Omega - no power gains, and its weight and size are far from ideal...
