Title: off topic, vectra 2.2 elegance 170000

evening all

I know this is off subject, but I was looking for some advice regarding a 2003 Vectra 2.2 auto elegance hatchback, with 170k on the clock 2 owners ex company car part service history, I wanted to know if this would be timing belt or chain..? and if chain when would the changing interval's be..? if there is one ??
is there anything else I need to check for.. Im not a newbie to buying cars but got caught out once with an astra, 2 weeks later the cambelt snapped.. >:(

Veccy 2.2 is a chain. There was a recall to improve lubrication.

 :y anything to worry about with it then..? my ex plod 3.0 mv6 is going and this the replacement.. :-\

Chain is a problem on these all the time as they are only single with plastic guides.
Look to see when they were done.
Nor a cheap job.

Chain is fine given good servicing, its done some miles which suggests its been reasonably well maintained.

Chain is not to hard to do on these either.
