Hi all
I have an Omega 2.6 auto 02 plate ex police car.
I have had the gas re charged and the ECO buuton inside the car works but a/c not working. There are 2 fans at the front of the car and 1 behind rad. When i push eco off none of the fans spin. The normal blower in the car works i removed fuse 33 inside car and blower went off so i know that fuse is ok.
Looking under lid under the bonnet it appears there is 1 relay near the front of that box is missing ??
all other relays are there but it doesnt say in hand book what relay does what.
Had system re checked and the gas is still in the system.
Hope someone can help :o

Anyone know where i can get compresser cheap.
Check it first - remove electric plug from compressor, and put 12v across terminals (maintaining correct polarity) - if clutch ok you will hear it engage with a clonk - silence means clutch stuck ;) Replacement compressors ain't cheap ???

Compressor clutch seized?
Or unplugged :-\ The fact the front fans run suggests that from a control perspective, the system is fine...
2.6 plod is unusual btw...

first ensure both controls in the car are set to "LO" ensure the "ECO" is'nt iluminated on the climate panel, with the engine running look at the compressor if its all spining the clutch is engaging,if not then you have a problem
1 no gas(refrigerant),due to a leak, pressure switch is not allowing system to work.
2 compessor busted.
so you need to check that the compressor is working,if it is then you will need to have the system pressure tested with nitrogen, then with uv dye.
likely cause of leaks is
1 condensor
2 hp/lp ports
3 compressor seals or dowty washers
4 corroded pipes
5 pressure valve.
there are quite a few threads floating about in the past week or so.

Gas in the system.... how much? (That's a point, do we know when the pressure switch decides to shut the system down?)
Nothing to say the pressure switch isn't faulty. You say you had it re-gassed....... I take it the A/C worked fine when you left the garage, or you weren't charged for it? What did they say? :-\
