Hi Peeps
Well the grandson took it apart and I have attempted to put it back together. :o
Now a problem (and this is going to sound stupid) :-\
Has any one got a picture or diagram of the routing of the cambelt please. :-[
First time doing this and I have followed instructions on here implicably,but cant find the above. :'(
Help please and thank you.

Double checked all the timing? :y

Cranked it over 3 times and each time the "marks" lined up.....hope that's right?

Yup thats spot on, most garages look at the top two but forget the bottom.
Changed the waterpump too?

Water pump changed (gates)......just need to find this bloody flange gasket thingy,its the one on down pipe from exhaust manifold....any ideas,euro carparts near us dont know what I am on about!!!!....grrrr

Trouble is now the blooming temp gauge 'aint going up!!! :-\
Engine seems to be ticking over fine (Exhaust will get done on Wednesday)ve just want to see some temp,no leaks,every thing seems to be fine (everything crossed)...blimey for a first timer,I am a bit happy,save the temp and blooming engine management light!
Going to have a nice glass of rosada....any input gratfullt received.....once again a massive a BIG thank you to TUNNIE and all that have supported "Goldie" in her recovery.....speak soon......is their any thing I have missed?

Put the heater on full and make sure it's good and hot,are you sure temp sensor is connected?,if heater blows cold air suspect an airlock,don't,then run engine long like that as h/gasket could suffer

Check the 2 temp sensors on throttle body have been reconnected

Oh, and as its your first time, forgive me, but check there is enough coolant in it

This is probably the cause, the sensor lead just push fits onto the sensor located at the right hand side of the block at the rear (next to the EGR Valve) :y

Check the little brass connector on the back of the engine block, can easily pop off this is what feeds the dash gauge :y

Thanks guys,will be checking it all on Thursday now (fitting in the time).
Coolant Mix is 50/50 (using the red stuff?) - thank you for your help.
Thought I had reconnected everything,but will double check as above.
Once again thankyou peeps, :ywill keep you posted on if I manage to sort it (or not)! ::)
