can anybody tell me the temperature the cooling fan nearest engine should start as mine starts between 98 and 100 and the front fan dont work at all only if wired straight to battery

Front fan(s) should be running if aircon is on and working, otherwise they only come on as a last resort, and then only for a short period.
98° is a bit warm, but not unheard of for normal running, especially in this heat :-\

Should start at 95oC. Not sure though that rad switch went rubbish as it seems work a bit later but still normal. I've already heard that rad switch did not switch at all but never that switched later. Also the temp gauge sender may cheat a wee bit...if you don't hear boiling the water in the engine then no need to worry is my guess.

This was posted up some while back on ABS, I'll only post the link and NOT the picture as I don't want to infringe any copyright rules ... not sure if non-ABS folks will see it ....
