Not strictly speaking!
Are there conditions, or more importantly prohibitions, in relation to taking an lpg'd car onto a ferry?
I'm trying to contact the actual carrier ( Stena in this case) but thougt I'd ask in case anyone had any previous experience.
TIA :y

I go over to France fairly often.
On the Channel Tunnel they always ask about LPG and I know it is not allowed, but I don't recall being asked on the ferries.
I'll be interested to know. Not sure why as I don't have lpg

No problems whatsoever .. I do it every year ... :) and will be doing so again on Monday :) Brittany Ferries and P&O so far this year
The TUNNEL is the problem .. as they never did a "risk assessment" on LPG vehicles they have simply banned them .. :( You can take a van with LPG bottles - turned off - but can't take a car.... as they say it has no manual shutoff ..... load of horlicks .. they simply won't pay for a risk assessment to be done.
Go by ferry and enjoy the ride .. :y :y :y

Thanks mate, I knew someone would have experience :y
I don't see why it would be a problem but you never know.

As your ferry ride is from Norn Irn to mainland GB rather than the routes people have experience of, I would check with your carrier regarding your route, just to be certain. ;)
