Further interrogation with an unmentionable reader reveals p0748 present on the 2.2 autobox. All codes cleared prior to this scan. Seems this relates to a solenoid in the box itself? Or could this be a dodgy selector....dirty fluid...dodgy connection ? Advice appreciated

First thing to check would be the fluid level ;),if you have'nt done so :-\

I have the option to test the solenoids so will give this a go
