Title: A/C not acting cool in this weather! info inside...
Post by: Pirvan on 25 July 2013, 19:15:54
I have a 2000 V6 2.5 Omega and since the summer started, I ran the A/C and it worked fine.

Then a while ago, it blew a fuse in that the display (where it displays temp and so on) went out. Since my car's originally from italy and thus my instruction manual in italian (I'm Scandinavian so no dice!) I had to piece together which fuse it was but basically had to look through a few. Found it and replaced it and it worked, ta-da! It was the fuse-box under the steering wheel, btw.

Anyway, after this the A/C has not worked. Air is still blown in but it's not temp-regulated. I checked the fuse for the AC and it works just fine. I'm just having a hard time believing it's not electrical somehow but would like some input. Also, if you require any more info, let me know!

Thanks in advance! :)

Is the outside temp reading correctly?

Yes, on the dash comp. it registers outside temperature correctly. It also increases airflow when I lower the desired temperature. Only thing that doesn't happen is that it cools the air.

With current posts about aircon woes, my own included, I can't help feeling that the blown fuse is purely coincidental  :(
