I enjoyed the caravaning test tonight!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Having been part of a caravan 'motorway incident' myself, I thought it was rather brave of The Stig to go around the track like that. I thought the VW Tiguan faired very well all things considered.  :y
It was fairly amusing.  ;D ;D

Yes good escapist nonsense.

I wondered if they bought those two tow cars before they abused them at the end!

When I was in my twenties a couple of good friends and their girlfriends set out for the "trip of their lives" to the South of France in a borrowed from their dad caravan. They got as far as Northampton when they got into a tank slapper/accident and the superstructure fell off depositing all their belongings all over the sodden motorway. It had to be closed briefly causing traffic tail backs.

They gathered their stuff up as best they could and stuffed it in the boot.

They asked the police "what shall we do with what is left of the caravan". ? They told them where a scrap yard was nearby and they got £20 for it.

They then turned round and headed back to Leicester for a tent. Got in just in time for the dad(owner) watching the News to say "look some prat has wrecked their caravan on the motorway and caused these huge tailbacks"

No, he didn't. He was being sarcastic.  He's a RR man, and Merc man for saloons - despite having the right hump with Merc when McLaren wouldn't let him test drive the 1990's F1 supercar, as he'd lost his licence.

I really enjoyed Sun's episode. 100% totally childish, but I was wetting myself with the caravan segment.

Was very funny in a childish way, but as usual, totally staged with the caravan challenge...

Haaaaa I'm sorry. Had to bump this again.

As we're tired, one or other of us fell asleep during the programme. (This only happens when we're content btw) So its the third time we've tried to watch it together all the way through.

Failed! She's asleep again. ;D

So I'll just have to watch it again later and see what we missed. I've seen the caravan destruction derby 3 times now. Tears of laughter each time. ;D

Will I ever tire of watching it ? I think not. ;D

Pmsl ;D

It also follows though, that if its a programme she likes and I hate, like the Apprentice, she's happily falls asleep after 10mins in. So never actually sees the thing through first time. Ever.

Me however, as its like dragging nails across a black board, can't fall asleep and end up watching the damn thing three times by the end of the week, when she STILL hasn't seen all of it. Sigh... ::)

Third night in a row that I genuinely cannot see anything at all worth watching on UK TV.

There is a film called RED at 9.00 which might have to do as it is too damn hot to be outside.

Thats on DVD  :(. Actually, so is Flashdance, footloose, Saturday Night Fever, Grease (possibly her favourite) and countless others.  They're all banned as well when I'm in the house.
