Title: Lambda sensor wiring for lpg ....
Post by: jonny2112 on 29 July 2013, 08:49:47
There seems to be more than two plain blue wires in the X85 loom. Two at the top and at least one underneath.
Is this the case?
Or do I need to go to specsavers  ;D ::)

Go by the pin numbers, not wire colour :)

I wouldn't know where to start  :-\
When I take the connector block apart, are they numbered? Or how does the pattern work?

Top cover off, but no apparent markings.
Where would the numbers start?

Pin numbers are on engine ECU

The pin numbers are also stamped into the ECU plastic connector blocks at either end. Suggest you use a magnifying glass ;) ;D

Magnifying glass! Good idea. Just couldn't see any markings before the rain came on. I'll go back out shortly, all being well.
Cheers guys  :y

Still can't see any actual markings, but if I take the top left hand pin looking at the front of the block (ie the face that connects to ECU) then pins 28 and 44 as I count them consecutively are indeed blue. Don't see any other combination working, but I'll check again.

Even more confused now. The red and green on the X85 appear obvious but numbered in the other direction. Using this same plan on the 86 shows an empty pin 44.
