Thought i'd do a couple of quick jobs on Ljays new motor...
Climate bulbs, changed :) Thought oh look, Vauxhall gave given me 6 instead of the 5 I asked and payed for...
Removed the old, inserted the new and promptly dropped on in the pile of old ones, couldnt work out which one it was, ahh well at least I 'had' a spare. All back together and working fine ;D
Replaced all the wiper blades and the rear wiper arm, snapped the nut cover so back to Vaux :(
Thought I'd do the Crank sensor, all though we got home with no more code 19......Right wheres the connector.....hmm thats not the shape as the new one....so back to Vaux >:(
Ahh well, I'd fall off my chair If I managed something car related with issues at all :-[
And now its started raining, and I don't fancy changing the fuel filter in the rain.

Dont worry, the fuel filters underneath.........and your gonna get covered in petrol anyway! :y
-
I knew someone would suggest the car is shelter ;D
-
You may need to jack it up quite high :P

Well it is very snug under there, and especially if the engine is still warm. Enjoyed many a cup of tea working 'down below'!
:y
-
Have those blocks of wood at the ready to boost the jack ;D
If there WAS a code 19, but isnt anymore......is it worth changing the crank sensor anyway?
Ljay will say yes for definate, and I'm inclinded to agree as its me that will get the phone call asking for rescue ;D

You both don't know what you have missed; it can be so relaxing along with being snug! The oil, petrol, or general crud in the tea can be a problem; but what the hell when you are enjoying yourself! ;D ;D

With 2 3.0l on the drive, and I bet they both take cheaper type sensor, I would keep a spare handy anyway.
Check it daily, see if it returns.
