Title: 2003 Renault Scenic (1.6) - 8mm Square Drive sump plug?
Post by: Webby the Bear on 31 July 2013, 17:56:21
Hi guys,

Got to the above car to service next week. I'm assuming with the above being a car from Surrender-Monkey region it will have a square drive 8mm needed for the drain plug. Does anyone know if this is correct? :) My mate's

I feel now I've had a bit of experience servicing cars.... these French cars are just stupid. the layout is terrible. fuel filters stuffed in wheel arches.... square drive sump plugs. etc why cant they be service friendly?  ::)

This weekend I helped a pal having problems with his 54 reg Megane. The drivers window was stuck in the down position so we had to take the door card off. BLOOMING HECK  :'(.

The motor was mounted on the inside of the door card & not on the metal of the door itself. All the clips/screws were fitted in difficult to get to places. Makes an Omega door card look like a walk in the park ......

Hey ho

SWMBO has an '03 Ford Focus.  Drivers side Window decided to not work..... 10 screws, all philips, and door card was off.  No unclipping this, unclipping that, break this, break that.  I wish the Omega was as simple.  ;D

After I broke something that held my Merc's door card on I baled out & reluctantly paid someone to fit my door mirror.  :( :(
