;D  way too funny....like ive never heard that one before. I cant seem to find a trustworthy garage who knows how to fix an engine of this size so maybe its not the girls who struggle with this car mmmm  ::)   If anyone has any ideas or knows of a good garage in the west midlands that could be of help that would be great. Thanks.

Yes give Daz a call but I know he's quiet busy, if you want to get your hands dirty, first thing to check is oil or water sitting in the spark plug wells.  :y

Forgot to mention, is the EML on the dash, and also read any stored fault Codes (paper clip test).

my misfire was due to a coil pack cracking into two, ran fine when cold but when hot it was a pain, if no luck with daz im not too far away

Fuel consumption is normal, are coil packs expensive and are they hard to fit? :'(

Careful what you're searching for on here. Coil pack is the name generally given to the 1/3/5 or 2/4/6 cylinder banks on a 2.6/3.2 drive by wire car ie those that fit directly to the park plugs. You have a 3.0 so have what is generally know as a DIS pack (Distributor Ign System) but .... there are variations on what can be fitted. It's best to remove what you already have to make sure you get a direct replacement - IIRC the plugs are square-ish or more oval. Fitting them is ..... er ..... challenging!  ::)  ;) It lives at the back of the passenger side of the engine and is a PITA the get to.  ;)
