Title: 2003 Renault Scenic 1.6 service query

Hi guys.

Got to service this POS tomorrow  :'(

to change spark plugs do I get that silver cover off... presumably it just pulls off?

and the air filter.... does it live in that box which is at the end of the intake snorkel?

Silver cover just pulls off carefully air filter is hidden further back than that box in photo that just lifts off air filter is a bit further back held in by two torx screws on the top a light and arms like a 10yr old helps  ;D

What service are you doing what's the mileage timing belts love snapping on these if left even a few k over recommended period

Yep and they ain't nice to do,setting kit required and I think it's 5years 60k miles from memory

Yeah locking tool for cams and crank bit of a pig to do 60k sounds about right

no timing belt done. that's already been done,  :y

Plugs and filter look pretty shagged,although those filters do seem to pick up a lot of crap anyway :y
