Hi Im new here so not quite sure if im doing this right. my 2.6 auto omega is having gearbox issues i have had it put on a machine and it is giving the code INCORRECT GEAR RATIO i have since had the ATF replaced as it has done 73,000 miles but it is still doing this,it is intermittent for example on one quite short journey today it happened three times and on another once , but it seems to be more frequent now, the lights next to the gear console are all normal, when it has an episode and wont engage into gear usually around 3rd or 4th and at low speed around 30 ish sometimes if i rev it will clunk into gear sometimes the management light will come on and it will stay in 3rd or 4th until i turn the engine off when it will reset and be fine until the next time which can be very soon or not ! can somebody please tell me if i need to replace the box or is it worth trying the selector/ecu/sensors i would really appreciate your help thanks Paul

sounds like the all to familiar 2-3 solenoid

Any codes in the engine ecu?
But usually if its still playing up after a fluid change, then its an issue with the box. Next step would be a look at the solenoids. Both sumps of again, take a look at the valve body and replace the solenoid(s)
Its quite an easy task as auto box jobs go. :y
