Title: Front strut mount loose

Hi
I changed the front strut rubber mounts and shock absorbers.
But now the car has failed its mot on the front strut mount being insecure. You can spin the strut top plate around a bit by hand and there is a gap between plate and body with the wheels om the ground.
What have i done wrong?

Surely that just the top nut loose?

Hold the centre rod on the top of the shock still with a torx or allen key (whichever yours are) and tighten big nut with 24mm spanner.  Or just air-gun it with 24mm socket  ;)
