.....GM red antifreeze is too expensive, unless I buy it by the tanker load.
So, I've taken a chance on this at £13.49 for 5 litres....inc delivery.
It's the five year stuff, so it should be okay. :y

I'm sure it will be fine. My only concern is the seller, as they tend to sell a lot of tat thats unsuitable for cars, as tell as sell old stock.
I probably wouldn't leave it in 5 yrs though. TBH, I only leave the GM stuff in a couple of years. Antifreeze degrades from the minute it goes in.

Can I mix it with the GM red. I have about two litres left?

Depends what its made of...

No idea whatsoever. All I know is that it's a similar colour. :)

That QXTriple stuff is an ethylene glycol Anti-Freeze, so if that's what you currently have, you'll be fine.

I currently have 4.5 litres of GM red in the Omega......and 2.5 litres of GM red in the Corsa.
I assume ethe GM stuff is 'ethylene glycol'. :y

It's good stuff I put 5l in last week. You could have got it cheaper though http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/engine-oils-and-car-fluids/antifreeze-and-screenwash/red-antifreeze/?523770511&0&cc5_866 (http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/engine-oils-and-car-fluids/antifreeze-and-screenwash/red-antifreeze/?523770511&0&cc5_866)
As I recall it says on the container, don't mix it with hard water, ideally used distilled or de-ionised water (despite the urban myths) ;)

I did see that..........but it's the ready mixed stuff. The stuff I bought is concentrated. :y

Quite right, missed that when posting the link. The stuff I bought was the concentrated. I see it is now £16.98 on their site, I paid 13.49 on 19th July from Amazon (eurocar in reality). I was a little peeved at the time to see I could have got it cheaper from eurocar by using one of their voucher codes. They seem to change their prices and offers every day. I did buy 3 x 5 litres of de-ionised direct from them for £1.94 a can now it is £4!

I paid £13.49, and bought two. :'(
Still, looking on the bright side, the Halfords stuff is about £20, and only good for two years. :y
