Title: 185 tyres on 6J wheels ?
Post by: albitz on 08 August 2013, 18:46:35
My Cavalier currently has 195 width tyres on 6J rims.I may have the chance of some 185 wide tyres for it.Just want to check they are a suitable size for the wheels. I think they will be,but I may be wrong.
Tia.

What an excellent site.

Can't fit anything here except what is shown on your V5 equivalent or if you can show that the manufacturers fitted them as standard to some vehicles. I had a right rigmarole to go through when I Spanish plated the Elite with 225 16's. All none facelift Omegas in Spain came with 195's. I can see in the future that sort of standardisation will creep in across the EU. The tyre size is checked as part of the MOT.

I found 185`s worked well on my Cavalier MKII SRi, better steering feel, with 195`s it felt a touch heavy.
