Title: Only seven more years before first Omegas are tax exempt!
Post by: Varche on 11 August 2013, 15:05:22
That will make them more desirable! Prices will rocket to as much as £300.  ;D ;D Mind you the 25 year old rule may have been scrapped by then.

They have the same 25 year old exemption rule here in Spain.

Just for "fun" I have again sought a valuation from wewantanycar.com for my latest Omega. Remember, 56K, full service history, almost like new.

Their valuation:  £375!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o

They must be bloody joking! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;) ;)

PS and to even insult me more, I have received an email confirming this valuation, in which they let me know that a "transaction fee" of £49-99 would apply!! ::) ::) ::) ::)

What jokers! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

We don't have a 25 year rolling tax exemption. It rolled for about a year, & was scrapped more or less as soon as Tony got into No 10 in 1997. All cars BUILT before 1973 ie cars are exempt, but ...... in this years budget they rolled it on one more year  :y http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/classiccars/9943381/Budget-2013-Classic-car-VED-exemption-extended-to-1974.html

You would have to be mad to deal with them! :D :D ;)  Give me RB anytime.  At least he is up front about his prices and deals in quality vehicles.

No I do not, not for one minute. They appeal to folk who are desperate  OR people like my Mum and Dad Or people sorting out someones estate following their death. The same as no one on this forum would have a loan from Wonga.con
