Title: cam cover gaskets

 do we know the part no. for cam cover gaskets for a facelift 03 V6 also the black sealant part no. would be useful. I think I have been given the green stuff.

Further to my post a list of all  part nos for the gasket/rings for the inlet system would be useful That is all rings needed to fit a new thermostat from plenum down .

The inlet and plenum seals should be re-usable, unless you really want to change them.  :-\

Been back to supplier changed cover gaskets and sealant. Hope its right now.

Just like to point out that the 2.6 has a change over as far as cam cover gaskets go on engine numbers so make sure that you are supplied with correct type. Sorry if everbody except me knows this.

the gasket I was given was 55351456 This is  a double seal ie the two halves are joined with a bridging piece I checked on what I used when I first bought the car and these are 090511451. two seperate seals . Both however have half moons how would you get an oil seal without them.As I said there is a change over on engine nos.

That bridging piece between the two main gaskets came about because of water ingress issues into the spark plug wells. You will often find that the bridge has been made with black sealant if the cam covers haven't been disturbed from the factory (unlikely on 10+ Year old cars....)
