Just returned from a 150 mile jolly this morning.When i set off fuel gauge showed between 1/2 & 3/4 of a tank,25 miles into journey fuel gauge needle drops to bottom of gauge and orange light on fuel gauge flashes >:(,so i pulled over turned ignition off and on again and no further problems. ;)
But on the way back after some 40 miles range warning on dash shows 7 miles but fuel gauge shows 1/3 of a tank ??? then range meter sets itself back to 140 miles on its own :o,then another 20 miles on range meter flashes up again showing 17 miles but still showing 1/3 tank on gauge ???.
Has anybody any thoughts as to what can cause this ;)

FC gets tank contents from fuel gauge, so sender, wiring or dash

Reseat dash may help

thanks for reply tb :y my thoughts are related to display rather than sender unit,as display has played up about 6 times now,but fuel gauge only the once (for now that is) ;)
This could be fun as me and electrics are not the best of mates. ;D ;D
