it *is* boring tho - it's so relaxed there's just no reason to accelerate through s-bends, or floor it - the performance is there, but you just don't get the buzz.

That can be fixed. Terry the chip man had a (grey import) twin turbo one, which was tweaked. Absolutely bloody mental, only the cornering capablities and stopping power were nowhere up to the job. But in a straight line, crazy.

Don't think a twin turbo upgrade would be a good idea. :-X
Although there *is* a toyota supra 3.0 t/t in the local scrappie with a complete engine. :D

Very comfortable cruiser, but a lazy, lazy transmission.
To draw a comparison;
The AR35 fitted to the Omega is a piss poor terrible shithouse of a transmission.
Compare that to the A341E in the GS, the AR35 is like an adolescent running upstairs with his first wank-mag. ;D

AFAIK, Toyota made the Supra, but it's the same engine as GS300, cept turbo'd??
