Title: 2.5td exhaust info
Post by: conalnugent on 18 August 2013, 00:55:29
Ive hear alot about decating and binning the back box. So as an expert engineer fabricator im going to make my own straight through exhaust minus cat and back box and what ever else is in the way. Two questions.

1 what is the diameter and wall thinckness of the standard td exhaust and what would you lot recomend.

2 Ive access to an computerised pipe bender and welders etc etc what would you guys make for yourself if machinery and labour wasnt an issue

remove the cat, new centre box, straight tro back box, and use 2.5 inch pipe, and use bassalt wool for the wadding,in the silencers.

Ive been told that straight with no cat middle or back box is the way to go. Would this make it really loud??

Yup, silencers there to keep noise down. No cat would help performance, but I'd urge you to keep the centre boxes if you want to keep noise down, as the Omega is all about a nice quiet cruiser  :y

No silencers is not good as there will be no back pressure, will sound bloody loud, awful, but be down on performance, use straight tro boxes, they have perforated pipe in the silencer.
