Title: Engine revs as I stop
Post by: karlo on 28 August 2013, 19:01:56
Hi I have a 1995 omega B 2.5 V6 saloon.
When I brake just before the car comes to a standstill the engine revs to about 1200 then goes back to about 700 and idles well, it feels like the car wants to take off again, I call it lurching, as the car lurches forward.
Can anyone help please?

ALso worth checking the brake servo for air leaks. Does the engine race if you pump the brake pedal a few times while it's idling?
