Title: Poxy windows rubbish...

...has decreed I will not use my gay crap lap top for browsing the Internet.

It has decided it will close and do a windows update. Mid post, data lost.

Utterly unacceptable.  >:(



(Awaits some smart arse to tell me there's a setting somewhere. ::) its windows 7 btw)

Bloody IT smart arse. ;)


It has also dropped wifi, and forgotten the access keys to all the networks.

having acquired certain obd 2 hardware, I'm now having second thoughts about plugging this thing into the car.  :(

Control Panel>System and Security>Windows Udates>Change settings>

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them   :P

And another one you might want to consider if taking it out to the Car -

Power Options> When I close my Lid, do nothing  ;)
