Title: MAF / breather tube
Post by: Toledodude1973 on 03 September 2013, 20:21:51
After my previous post (EML light on) i was getting codes using pedal 0100 and another 0100 this indicated maf problem. Omegod promply supplied me a used maf so i fitted that,i also noticed a small black breather pipe was disconnected from switch?on main air intake pipework where they split into two before throttles so i re-connected that as well. Tried car and EML still on, took car out and runs fine. Parked up and when used car again light was out and stayed out .What i'm asking is can fault light re-set itself after fault cured or do they need to be cleared? Also what are the black tubes connected to various points could they have caused the eml light to come on with one not connected?

Some clear themselves once fault no longer sensed ;)

Black tubes probably vacuum lines

yes-especially if they go to vacuum servos  :y :y and EML goes out when problem sorted
