I would like to extend my sincere thanks to WIM.
I had all manner of handling issues with my Omega. I changed the knackered wishbones, which helped, but it was still not handling right, so I went to WIM at Chesham today.
PETE did my set up, Tony wasn't around. After checking for play in all the components, Pete noticed that the subframe wasn't straight. He unbolted this and straightened it out, and then set to work on the Geometry - which he said words to the effect of was screwed!
Whilst I've always been totally happy with the outcome of WIM visits, I've made no secret that in the past felt just a tad disappointed that after coming in for a full geo, I've only ever needed the front toe adjusting.
Today, that changed! I lost count of then angles Pete adjusted, front toe, camber, castor, and angles at the rear too. He was happy to talk through what he was doing, and nothing was too much trouble.
The car is a complete transformation. Apart from a slight tramline on some roads due to my front tyres nearing the end of their life, the car now has gone from handling like a pig, to handling perfectly. This geo was worth every penny and more. Pete did say because he had to do so many angles, I should pop back soon just to check all is well. I will do this when I get the tyres in the next couple of weeks, which I will get WIM to supply. I know he's cured it, though.
Living 6 miles from WIM at Chesham is cool!
To anyone with a suspension / handling concern - check the thing over for any obvious play/issues first, but if you can't find anything, just get straight down to WIM, they WILL sort it :y

Constant good reports from how they transform the handling with the correct setup on Omegas. :y :y :y

Nice one :y
It is handy being in the doorstep though :)
Suppose you took the long way home ....... just to test it of course :D

Good result, pity we don't have one up here...... :( :(

New tyres next and your sorted, hopefully. :)

There is only one WIM :y
When I lived in the south west I called into one of their franchises. They almost seemed to "poo poo" Wheels in motion, when I mentioned them, simply saying they had "had the knowledge for years" and "your tracking is probably out mate" ;D
But agreed they had the hawkeye kit. I know Tony has supplied data to trusted franchises, but in reality, it can't be easy to quality assure that many people across the UK
For that reason, (call me a cynic) I only place complete trust in Tony, and those who he has personally trained and supervises day in day out...
It may be me just being cynical of others outside of WIM, but, I genuinely don't think you'll get better service than Chesham :) :y

Well worth the drive, plus you can enjoy a scenic route home to er test the handling...

Same as me.
Popped mine over to there last week all the way from Kent and they sorted it all out. I can't remember who actually did the geo, but they commented on how everything came undone easily for a car which has never been touched.
Car was not far out as it was (more from luck), but the difference is noticeable. Would never normally pay for a geo as I used to do them for the techs in the Vauxhall bodyshop where I worked so did my own for free, but now not working there anymore, decided to spend the £114 on full geo and subframe setup. Worth it.

I go to Chesham on business now and again. I really must give them a go, although I don't really see much wrong with my MV6 now that all the wheels have been swapped around.
-
I do rate WIM but now use Fleet Fit in Loughborough after Marks recommendation.
-
I only use WIM now. 100 mile round trip, so not too bad for me. Have franchises nearer, but prefer the real deal
-
I had to use an alternative tyre supplier for the 3.2, big mistake. They were shite. I'll only use WIM :y

I caught this thread by chance and have to say thank you to all that have offered a positive reply. It's rewarding to read unbiased comments in an open forum and if i'm honest it makes me even more proud of the staff...... Note to self, buy them a beer :y

Agreed, I had only two trusted places for such work, WIM and a local to me outfit

I had front suspension issues (wishbones) with my red Elite that I had owned from two years old. Tried to find somewhere in Spain that did proper geometry setup. They are very thin on the ground. That was another nail in the cars coffin sadly.
