I bet they were all keeping a proper distance, reduced speed, lights on and not texting "I am just going over the bridge now" in response to "where are you"

the other day I was keeping a safe distance of 2 chevrons from the car in front on the M6. A van driver behind was getting impatient and tailgating me - I just ignored. Next thing he dives into the middle lane then into the inside lane - scoots down the inside and then emerges to cut me up. He then proceeds to tailgate others generally being a small minded s**t. My wife phoned the company number on the back of the van and described what was happening and the person who answered sounds like a gaffer - "I know who that will be - I will ring him". Maybe 5 to 10 minutes later the van driver is as good as gold and driving normally. ???

Cynic ::)

Miracle no one was killed :o

Has anyone else noticed that there is only one vehicle facing the wrong way... an ex Securicor Parcels Mk4 Transit :-\

Sure some other vehicles are a bit sideways, but that one has only suffered a head on impact...

Had a very similar incident with a local coach driver. 3 mornings in a row, same time, same driver, same sort of stuff, laughing and flicking v's at all in his way. On the third occasion with passengers. With the phone number in the back of the coach... Well I haven't seen him since, put it that way. The Idiot!

Done that quite a few times, most companies take the comments seriously.

Occasionaly the number actually goes to the driver of the vehicle, who then - usually - starts to get mouthy and clever ...... it gets interesting when I ask if they would like the video from the dashcam sent to them or the chief constable ....    :)

Bet this was started by some numbty standing on the brakes when he saw the fog, car behind did same coz he was to close to the numbty was dazzled by his fog lights, and the numbty, carried on unaware of what he/she has caused.

problem is the first person is entitled to stand on brakes if they hit fog even if they should have seen it earlier - the issue is always the numbty too close behind the leader. I wish they would get a few for tailgating and publicise it a bit more as to the fines and penalties.

There were also two more crashes yesterday, one between J9-J10 M20 and another between J10-J11, a bad day yesterday on the motorways around here. There was nearly 20 miles of complete standstill traffic from Ashford to Maidstone yesterday afternoon.

J9 was a nightmare, from 4 o'clock until about 7 yesterday afternoon Ashford was pretty much gridlocked.

There was nearly a proper pileup on the M40/A43 Jct on Tuesday, as a lorry had underestimated how catasphorically slowly some retard was going up a fast, long sliproad, and had it proper sideways trying to avoid it. HTF the lorry driver managed to miss the retard and me is a mystery. Good job I was in the Bullet, as I don't think TBE would have stopped in time, or as controlled, and cars behind were all out of shape.

Looks like there was no impacts anywhere, surprisingly, as far as I could see.

By the time the lorry had got moving again, and I was able to catch up with the retarded car driver, he was pootling over the M40 bridge at 20mph, completely oblivious to the incident he had caused, but I heard the lorry give him a good blast of horn.

Absolutely rather retard. If you are not prepared to even attempt the speed limit, give up driving, because you're rather dangerous  >:(

Having done 800 miles in Spain in the last couple of days brings home what a bunch of cretins drivers in the UK are. Then again, I'm sure the lighter (outside cities!) traffic probably helps. I don't doubt that this would have been avoided if a few more drivers actually devoted some attention to the driving conditions and the road ahead. ::)

And retarded petrol stations didn't dedicate so much time and attention to selling hot drinks for drivers to consume whilst driving.

Given the scale, I wouldn't mind betting that unless you can prove you were taken up the arse, and no other impacts, it'd all go knock for knock.
