Genuine gaskets - what gaskets - looked to me he just used a gallon of red Hermatite. Suprised he didn't use it to seal plenum to inlet manifold :o
-
Bet he's good at putting the fillings in a sponge cake!
Pity anyone who buys that vehicle!
-
Dear god what a mess :o :o
-
Wonder if he cleaned the breathers ::) Nice color sealant :D ;D
-
mmmm coffee table time ;)
-
Well I thought it looked Technically excellent, for cupcake icing! ::) ;D
-
That is trully horrendous :o and reassures me what a good job I made this morning replacing both my camcover gaskets.
Think I used less than 1/4 tube of the "correct black" GM sealant..he must have spent more in hermatite than he would have buying proper gaskets. ;D
-
I bet soon as he started it up it blew the gasket sealant off :D
-
All that lovely silicon gasket cement to break off over time and line the oilways and sump filter. ::) :-[ Still, cheaper to buy and fit a new engine, then spend money on proper gaskets. :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D
Reminds me of Normandy motorcycles and red Hematite after they had finished building a british bike engine, where they used to apply it liberally, I think with a 6" paintbrush. :o :o :o :o
