Title: Which sealant for

When i replace camshaft bearing on zetec 1.8 engine,i have clear rtv and black rtv sealants,knowing my luck it wont be either of them, :y

can only leak if wrong--no am pulling ya leg mate  :y :y any way----you had to ask?are you alright mate?

In GM world, metal to metal seals are generally the grey stuff

Camshaft bearing? They are bored straight into the head so nothing to change.

The black rtv will be ok around the sharp corners to supplement the gasket but you'll need something else under the front bearing cap. Blue hermetite works for me.
