X84GNB 2.5 petrol manual estate
After six weeks of struggling, I have changed the RH exhaust manifold and got the car going again. I thank you all and this forum for a wealth of good advice and support. This morning I filled with antifreeze, started up, and all was well.
Apart from changing the manifold, I have removed and replaced the oil filter canister, the crank sensor (cut the cable, repaired later), and blanked off the exhaust gas recirculation valve. After 4 miles the EML came on, and has stayed on. Puzzling. It is a 2.5, so no codes. I cannot find any connectors fallen out. Any ideas?

Result and well done tgatman :)
Rear multiram plug on back of plenum is the one I normally forget and probably wouldn't cause running issues until you gave it some beans. Worth double checking

Thanks Amba, you're a genius. I groped around the rear multiram plug, it seemed loose. Pushed it in with a long screwdriver until it clicked- bingo- ight has gone out.

Well done Terry. I guess we've all done that at some point. Plus, the drive by wire plug on the throttle on the newer engines caught me out once. Hidden under the throttle.
Stat up, runs fine. Try to move it... Doh! ;D
