Title: help with codes please
Post by: carmadman on 25 September 2013, 19:32:59
hi all i posted these codes on saturday and im hoping some one can help as the first four are not listed and the last 3 point to the tps and accelerator peddle so what would these point to?
i still have a slight lumpy idle but after deleting the codes nothing has come back yet but drives a lot better now
ive changed the plugs
blanked the egr
replaced the boots on the coil pack
cleaned the breathers and the small hose off the throttle body
replaced the throttle body gasket
not sure what else it could be
thanks in advance
andy

With just 15 posts he may not be aware of your exacting requirements ..  :)

To the OP .. best I can find is this comment

""If your DTC (diagnostic trouble code) begins with P1xxx, that means it's a manufacturer specific code"" and unfortunately the site I use

 http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes

doesn't appear to list these P1*** codes

the P0*** codes are both there however

P0120 - http://www.obd-codes.com/p0120

P0706 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

I have found this site which "might" help ...

http://www.obdii.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002126.html

P1781 4x4 Low Switch is out of Self-Test Range.
P1740 Transmission system problems.
P1120 Throttle Position Sensor out of range.
P1550 Power Steering Pressure Sensor out of Self-Test Range.

nothing found for the P1890 at all .. :(
