Great author,so real storie's to near the truth for some people.

Very true that
Apparently after he wrote Red Storm Rising, the FBI / NSA gave him a tug and asked him some pretty awkward questions about quite a lot of its contents.
Clancy took them down the local library and spent the day showing them various articles.
Lets just say they was "not amused" and it made a few arses twitch in the Pentegon  :-X :-X :-X

I read that book in 36 hours while sat in full NBC gear while on a maxval excercise in sausage land.
He lost his way a bit in his last few books but a absolutly first class author imho

The novels that Clancy wrote solo were very good reads but i found his Op center and collaborated efforts.
rather boring. Will be missed though.
