Title: Main dealer (Hyundai) prices.
Post by: 2boxerdogs on 10 October 2013, 10:36:26
Noticed an oil leak from my Hyundai Terracan diff, on the Hyundai forum this seems a common fault & requires a new flange seal, some of the prices owners have paid vary from around £300 - £600 ..One owner reckons he was quoted over £1200 for all kinds of other  work which the dealer said would need doing. I took it in this morning to my local dealer it went straight on the ramps, the technician said" usual fault flange seal needs replacing" instant quote for the repair £168.00 so left it there for replacement. How can prices vary so much I know labour charges vary in various parts of the country but this seems crazy. I had all the belts changed when I bought it last year, again at the local dealership at a cost of £390.00 which again seemed very reasonable to what others said they have paid.
