Title: Facelift Door Cards
Post by: amba on 10 October 2013, 13:56:53
It seems the quality of interior trims from MFL to Full Fl has gone down and I was wondering if anybody had come up with a clever way of restoring the plastic/rubber bits of the door cards as expect like may others mine ar quite shabby.

Previous MFL had a decent section of carpet then leather which could be properly treated and clened..FL is just dull and very basic.

Seem to remember some folk on here have completely removed all the rubbery stuff to leave the shiny black plastic finish, others have done a respray job, not sure what the long term effects of respraying are though.

I    took all the rubber stuff off mine and did them with wet and dry and g3 compound..came up great and that was 2 years ago and still look great......on this forum some where some one very kindly put a picture or two and a comment how to do it......if you try the search menu you may well find it.....i think it was well worth doing and look better than that black rubbery stuff. :y :y

Stripping the rubbery stuff and then painting is taxi proof :y
