Title: MOT waiting area ?
Post by: omega3000 on 15 October 2013, 13:57:43
Its always the same old magazines years old and a coffee machine that dont work  ;D Then there is the waiting game and biting nails time wondering how much is this going to cost  ::)

Im thinking of donating some decent mags to them  ;D

Yes - I was in such a place today reading Octane - hence my post in another thread about the VX 30-98.

I was very patient and sat reading the old mags and messing with phone. There was only one other guy there. Wearing a base ball cap pulled well down his forehead and for over an hour he paced around inside and outside many many times - never sat down once - kept wandering to the desk and looking at his car from the viewing area - it had a taped up wing mirror and what a surprise - it failed on that as the angle it was taped at was a problem.

I left him to it as he commissioned some work to get it through after the fail on a couple of things.

If the mags were more up to date maybe we could have helped him

The missus was hoovering the lads bedroom last week and found a box of  :-X :-X magazines under his bed  ;D ;D ;D
Oh the look on his face when I told him what his mother had found  ;D ;D ;D

I'll ask him if he wants to donate them to a centre of your choice  ;D ;D ;D

back to waiting area - not only was coffee machine working but they served me as I read the mags and after 30 minutes offered me another one. After MOT they washed car and cleaned the inside - so an MOT pass, mags, coffees, car wash and vac for the sum of £0 - (due to Service Plan). 12 years going to same dealer (with a slight swtch to another dealer in the middle until they lost the franchise).

Ive been going to the same mot place for 3 yrs now . They know me quite well and more importantly how the cars i take are looked after . The glass door on the shop had been kicked in by some disgruntled person , maybe for the lack of coffee facilities  :-\
A customer rang to see if her pug had passed , unfortunately it never and was told the cost of repairs would be more than the car was worth  ::)

At least it wasn't gay porn...... ;D ;D

My mate lent his hairy arsed builder Father in Law a laptop and a couple of years later when he was getting divorced demanded it back!  ::)

The Father in Law was reluctant and my mate got a right bee in his bonnet about it and included it as part of the settlement via the lawyers.  ::)

When he eventually got it back and checked the browsing history, it was full of gay porn!!!  :o  ;D
