Hi all
Have noticed my car does not like driving under 1000rpm at all. Gets very lumpy and jumpy as if its about to cut out. Noticed this while crawling along in traffic the other day in second gear, any ideas?

Try cleaning the MAF mass air flow sensor with a contact cleaner? But dont touch the element.

Not a good idea - high potential to wreck the maf sensor.

A mild solvent, such as contact cleaner (but not thinners!) sprayed into it won't hurt, so long as you don't touch the core with anything. Not even a cotton bud. And also don't blow compressed air into it. I've done loads. On the Vectra, astra and corsa too.
The trouble with the 2.2 dti is the element tends to get a coating of oil on it from the breather on the cam cover.

Contact cleaner is not normally a mild solvent ;)

I'm not saying who's wrong and right lol however I've used contact cleaner on my MAF and it helped
