Title: Paintwork revival

I have an Omega Elegance which is the Opel equivalent of the Vauxhall omega cdx. I'm wanting to revive the paintwork, would T-cut be the best or is there a better product? I will of course wax it after doing the paint revival bit.

T Cuts ok if not too badly faded/matt

If its quite bad you may need something a bit more aggressive like G3 polishing compound, followed by T Cut and then wax :y

+1 on the G3 rubbing compound, when I sprayed my CRX with cellulose paint it brought it up like glass.
It takes some real effort tho if you don't have a LOW speed buffer, keep it wet and take it slow.

I would be looking to use G3 followed by G10 and then a good wax polish.As said a polishing/buffing machine makes the first two processes a whole lot easier and quicker!

if you can get hold of the 3m cutting compounds i can highly recommend the green for a deep cut and yellow for a shine without hollograms.

by hand or machine ?


if you are a beginner for those jobs, and planning to use a machine be very careful on sharp edges and corners.. use lowest rpm possible..

dont do it under sun  or when paint is hot..

work must be done longitudinal to the part..  cover the black plastic parts with masking tape.. be very careful about any dust or particle entering work area.. use soft pads and very soft material to give last shine.. and dont hurry.. start with bumpers first..

be very gentle when working on roof , as it has many areas where laquer is thin..

good advice :y if machine i can also endorse 3m pads!
