gas rec valve, mine started a fluttering leak by bottom plate if i remove and blank  as ive done on other motors will this sort or do i need a new one,of course i shall leave wiring connected.

due to new beasty the steinmetz omega will be up for sale shortly.

Assume you mean egr - if V6 blank it off but leave wiring connected ;)

If petrol, blank it, but leave the unit in place, as the ECU looks at a position sensor inside.

If a TD, you can blank, but I'd clean it up and try to restore it.

And its called an EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirc :y

ha ha yep egr im tired just replaced front disc,s and pads as slowing from autobhan speeds sure does wear the fook out of them.
thought as much will mill a blank tommorow and fit,yep modified 2.5 v6 .

blimey wouldnt have thought blanking egr would make eny noticable difference but it sure has, must have been leaking passed more than i thought.and no vibration from front end much smoother passed 100 mph.
