As many of you know-I am a member of Rover p6 club--Well they all shine/polish their rovers daily-even maybe take them out for a drive-when no rain clouds about----Well at rover meet and saw a car there on tyres that were 20 years old!!! How stupid is that-and it was a v8 p6 too :o he was laughing at my p6--until I pointed out his tyres were ***** How did they get through mot :o at least mine is safe to drive :y

Retard mate ;)

its amazing-they spend more time making them look spotless and yet tyres get overlooked-in fact in this months club magazine they did an article on checking your tyres

Had a very short converstation earlier with a transport manager who needs a lesson in tyre law :o
Apparently it is 1mm over ANY 75% of the tread area :o
Silly me for thinking it was the centre 75% ::)
Btw, I know cars are 1.6mm :y
Shall post a pic if it's still there when I get back, see what the resident experts make of it...

Transport managers will always try and BS you that the tyres are legal, which is fine for them as they're not driving! ::)

He should, but often the pressure to get the loads out on time takes over.... Not right I know but that's often how it is... :-\

Only hisself to blame for that... it's an old truck that they won't spend money on, yet can't afford to replace it ::) Besides if he were that fussed about getting loads out on time, then he would start earlier :-X
Same bloke called me back to the yard twenty minutes after I left... to move my car because apparently it wasn't actually in a space. I had actually parked it in a space backed up to a wall. It wouls seem there's a pathway along the wall, that I failed to notice when I parked it in the dark this morning ::) anyway, net result, two hours late for my first drop, and got to my second drop as the site was closing, so more to do tomorrow, plus get back :-\
Rant over ;D
