Title: Thanks once again to Daz
Post by: VXL V6 on 19 October 2013, 16:02:32
This time rear donut bushes on the 2.6. Amazingly the originals weren't too bad and looking at the date stamp would appear to be GM originals from when the car was built.

As always, a top job done by Daz :y :y

Tightens up the rear chassis. Got them done on this car as it's coming up to MOT time and wanted to cover a known failure point (The ones that came out of my old DTi fell too pieces when they were being removed  :o

Just got to get the headlight aim right now and hopefully it'll go through cleanly  :)

Changed mine on 2003.3.2 a few weeks ago as reading through previous old Mots, they had reaised an advisory several times. ::)

When removed they were originals from manufacture and only the outer metal lip was rusted.Rubber bush was intact with no splits or seperation from center core,so what looks bad on the outside doesn,t always follow they are worn out.

MOT'd mine last month - straight through, and we don't have advisories.
Worth a thought though if it makes a difference. At the same time, if it's not broke .......  ???

Changed mine with Lemforders from Jason

Gixer changed both my cars to polys. It tightened up TBE's arse nicely. The bullet had had recent Lemforders fitted a year or so before, but was still noticibly tighter.

How childish to put off topic things on a serious post! I would never do such a thing  ::)
Cheers Andy by the way :-*
