Title: Trumpet removal
Post by: Andy663 on 20 October 2013, 18:20:15
I'm removing the trumpets, everything is disconnected except a very small hose at the back which goes into a Tee junction, I need to disconnect the one on the right hand side of the Tee. I've tried to gently pull it away from the Tee, but it doesn't want to budge and I don't want to give too much force. How does this come off?

Hold the Tee in one hand and gently pull the rubber hose with the other trying to rotate it slightly as you go,due to the rubber forming a tight bond.

If that is not successful I have poured hot water onto rubber piping before which causes it to relax and make it easier to pull off.Go gently though as the plastic Tee is brittle and you dont want to snap the "nipple" off :o

It won't budge, I even tried a hair dryer on it. There was enough slack on the hose to allow me to move it out of the way and put it on top of the engine. Next question - what size spanner do I need to undo the banjos on the radiator, and are both sides the same size as I've notice that one side has a male connector and the other female?

thanks

Unplug the elbow n the vac tank at the bottom. Leaving the t piece intact...?

Remove the BAGPIPES then the address the pipes, maybe? (Trying to think if that would work :-\) Might need to cut the cable tie.
