hi my name is Gary , just joined your site . i have a 2.5 td saloon ,47k miles only , 1995 how much should i insure it for?

Welcome, i would have thought £400 ish , but they'll only pay out market value on total loss ,so its up to you

Low mileage, esp. for a TD. I've had my TD for 14 years, superb car, 120k so far. Welcome to OOF :y :y :y

As you probably already know, essential to change oil every 3k or so. GM 10W-40 20L drum about £30 on TC, or 4 x 5l cans for about £40. :y :y :y

just serviced it. It has done only 39miles since it was stored up in april 2006. and still has got less than 47k . its just amazing condition . thanks for the tips ,
