Title: Water leak into rear passenger side footwell Omega 2.5td cd estate 1998
Post by: iansdad on 24 October 2013, 17:48:51
I have a problem with my omega estate and wonder if any other members with an omega estate has experienced the same problem. After heavy rain a pool of water collects in the rear passenger footwell. I have tried tightening the strikers on both doors on the passenger side since I suspect a rubber seal. Any advice would be appreciated ::)

Has it got a sunroof?

Have you checked front drains clear?

Check that there are no holes in the chassis there. Under the underseal, there are some grommets, that sometimes seem to just disappear.

Take it front carpet is bone dry?

Is the car parked facing uphill?  If so, check the pollen filter to ensure drain is clear. Water gets into the car from here via heater and drains from front to back because of parking on an uphill slope.  :)

Sorry for the late reply but I have been visiting hospital a lot for treatment. The problem was the drain in the bottom of the pollen filter housing. Flush it out regularly now! Thanks for your replies. :y
