Title: Valeting help!
Post by: cam2502 on 25 October 2013, 18:50:50
Swmbo had 2 trays of eggs on back seat coming home, she had to break hard because of some numbskull , and the eggs shot forward hit her seat and plopped down into the footwell. 48 smashed eggs  ;D, errr... >:(
Anyhow, mopped it up as best I can and trying o get a mobile valeter tomorrow isn't gonna happen so can anyone recommend something that will minimise he damage/smell/stickiness ??

Or would one of those Rug Doctor machines you can hire from various supermarkets work?

a dog.

When I used to carry raw eggs in my pocket (long story, don't ask).
Getting the dogs to clean out the remains worked surprisingly well.

Stick a peg on your nose!

Unless you can shampoo the carpet, seats or whatever came in contact with the egg, you are fooked!

The best way to mask the smell of rotten eggs would be to put a kipper in the heater matrix :y

egg was a construction and sticking material in history so its bonds and structure are pretty strongwhen dried..

if its dried completely carpets/chairs whatever is/are out clean the residue.. then use some mixture of water and vinegar..

All sorted now chaps, the valeter was here this morning and the car is now gleaming inside with no trace of egg.  :)
Want last long, swmbo seems to think her car doubles as a mobile dump  >:( I hate driving dirty cars
