First time I've watched a F1 race in ages, as I gave with F1 up thinking it was dull.
44 laps into a 60 lap race. Ignoring the first lap, when is there any excitement?
I've seen some quick tyre changes, and a lot of false overtaking, and a broken alternator. But nothing exciting.

Well I quite enjoyed it.
Funny how Webbers car has problems.
Perez drove a good race.
Hats off to Vettel he is a good driver in a great car. I still don't like him very much. It will be interesting to see if Ricardo plays bridesmaid next year or gives him a run for his money.

I agree, a boring race,I even took SWMBO off shopping to relieve the tedium.
Like Albitz said Andrian Newey cheats wins again, and yep to Varche and Tunnie re Webbers problems funny it is always his car, wonder if Ricciardo's car will suffer the same trouble just to keep Helmuts boy golden ::) ::)

Highly suspect they will, but will Ricciardo be able to challenge? :-\ Suspect if he does, "random" issues will appear on his car too. ::)
Got to hand it to Andrian Newey, at the end of the day it's a British designed and built car (ignoring the French engine) - He does appear to have a very good ability to bend the rules to make his cars unbeatable, if you look back at all drivers championships, its either Newey or Brawn cars which win.

Not the best example of F1 I've ever seen, but some of the camera shots gave a good impression of speed. For once.
Other than that, bellow par.
Mclaren are getting on my tits, when did mid pac results become acceptable to them? And I don't buy the developing next years car excuse, personally. They did a piss poor job of this years car!

They aren't going back to the India circuit next year btw. Not enough interest. Stands where completely empty for practice.

I guess the lack of crowds for the indian gp are that the prices f1 charge to watch are way too far above the avg indian blokes grasp, remember bernie has a lifestyle to keep up. :y
Also
i noticed that the cars struggle to stay on the track due to the narrow track and tight curves. and i suspect that the track does not and was built not to hold f1 speeds.

I blame David 'Sam' Michaels, he ruined Williams and now McLaren, plus not very good at Jordan other than nearly bankrupting them with some ponzy suspension simulation rig. His CV is FAIL MOVE, FAIL MOVE, FAIL >:( >:(

Over the longer term it may be connected to the fact that they lost Adrian Newey to Red Bull, because apparently Ron Dennis told him he had become a dinosaur because he still does the majority of work with an old fashioned pencil. He was a bit p1ssed off and Horner swooped in.The rest as they say,is history.
The only person to win a title in a McClaren since 1999 is Hamilton,so they haven't really been at the top of the tree for a long time now. ;)
Imo Whitmarsh isn't up to the job. Its time Ron either came back and took charge (if hes allowed to ?) or employed someone who can do the job properly.

Hmmm, had those thoughts about Whitmarsh a few seasons ago... since forgotten and tedium and complacency seems to be the norm now.
Mclaren need a damn good clear out. Provided there's others better suited of course. I guess there's nout more furious in f1 than a designer scorned.

Too many bridges to rebuild I suspect, after Ronnie's frequent comments about Ferrari Internatinal Assistance.
I understand he handed over to Whitmarsh, as his being at the races caused McLaren more harm than good, as the officials a grudge holding little bastards.

Sounds feasible though.
On a different note. I got a Senna Biography for my burfday. Max Mosleys quote on the dustjacket is " I still have a Christmas card from Senna, with a long handwritten plea to ban driver aids".
I would imagine Senna would be appalled by todays Walt Disney F1. DRS,KERS,compulsary changes to different tyre compounds,Mickey mouse tracks etc. etc.

Completely agree. People often speak in awe of his Donington win when he went from 5th to first in the first lap,in torrential rain.
He didn't quite agree.The car was fully active, and he said he just kept his foot planted and steered it.
His first F1 win (Portugal 85) was in similar conditions,but the Lotus was an old fashioned F1 car. He left everyone else in a cloud of spray by sheer immense talent,and was much more proud of that,and rightly so imo.
