Voda offer their Suresignal device to provide a small mobile coverage area - it plugs into a broadband connection and routes calls via the web.
Are they the only network to offer this type of service?

I deplore the existance of such devices. Instead of providing a decent service on their own network they expect customers in poor signal areas to pay for and install a device which uses their home bandwidth for which the phone companies pay nothing................opps that!

UMA technology in some phones like Blackberry does a similar job.

100% agree with you ... a definite rip off .. that I refuse to join in with.

I remember when Sure Signal first came out it was the 'new thing on the block' for the Vodacrap Sales Team. I was using Vodafone 3g Dongle at the time for Home Internet, when I got a call from them asking me if I was happy with my Home Coverage, Nope, was my reply, she then went on about Sure Signal for my house via my Internet connection, Blah, Blah, Blah, I must have tried to explain to her that my Internet Connection was via a Voda 3g Sim and Dongle (via there Radio Waves etc) several times, but it just wouldn't sink in with her. >:(
I politely told her she needs to go away and re think the sales script she was reading from and talk to there Tech Support for more info. ::)

Yup, only Voda. Nobody else would have the balls to charge you for a device that uses your electric, your broadband etc to provide a service that you pay Voda for.
Strangely, when I pointed that out, I was banned from the Voda forums. 'tards.
Thank god my works voda will be moving to another network soon :D

3 will offer one when needs must....
Our local mast broke, and 3 months of broken promises, and an offer on one of these later, they ceased our contracts with no penalty.
Yes it would have fixed the signal at home, but not in the surrounding area, like neighbours, shops etc.
